Reporting to the Front Desk Manager and Front Desk Supervisors, the bellman greets guests at the hotel entrance, takes charge of guest vehicles upon arrival, parks them and returns them to guests when requested. The valet also helps guests with reduced mobility into their vehicles, takes them to their rooms and helps them with their luggage on arrival and departure.

Job Description:

• Give customers a warm welcome on arrival.
• Take charge of customer vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Park and retrieve vehicles according to hotel procedures.
• Assist guests with their luggage, accompany them to their rooms and inform them about the hotel’s facilities.
• Provide information on local attractions, restaurants and services.
• Ensure the cleanliness and neat presentation of reception areas and outdoor spaces.
• Provide fast and efficient valet parking during peak hours.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet special customer requests.
• Handle requests for cabs, special transportation and provide directions to requested destinations.
• Provide courteous and professional service at all times, in accordance with corporate standards.
• Deliver minibar and room service orders.
• Ensure that the garage is safe and in good repair.
• Required to attend training sessions related to duties and participate in the training of new employees.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Possess a valid driver’s license and know how to operate a manual and automatic transmission (test required)
• Driving record free of major infractions
• Minimum driving experience of 3 years
•  Relevant customer service experience
• Fluency in spoken French and English
• Neat presentation, interpersonal skills and courtesy
• Good knowledge of Montreal, its surroundings and attractions
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts
• Demonstrate flexibility and thoroughness

Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, is required for this position as we serve an international clientele.
