Work Location: Primarily in downtown Montreal, with the possibility of assignments at various Groupe Tidan hotels and properties, depending on operational needs.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the General Maintenance Worker plays an essential role in supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of our properties. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks, including plastering, painting, and minor repairs.

• Carry out various minor repair and renovation projects.

• Install, repair, and maintain suspended ceilings, partitions, moldings, and other interior finishing elements.

• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.

• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of carpentry, interior systems, or general building renovation.

• Ability to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools.

• Strong organizational skills, independence, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Good physical condition and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

• A valid ASP Construction Safety Card is considered a strong asset.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in building maintenance, construction, or renovation.
