Reporting to the Director of Front Office, the Assistant Front Office Manager supports the management and supervision of the Front Office’s daily operations. The incumbent ensures a high-quality guest experience, engages and supports the team, and contributes to achieving the department’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the Front Office team in daily operations;
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures;
  • Oversee smooth and efficient guest check-in and check-out processes;
  • Handle special requests, guest complaints, and complex situations;
  • Coach, engage, and support team members;
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective coordination of hotel operations;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of guest satisfaction;
  • Ensure continuity of operations in the absence of management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in hotel Front Office operations and team supervision;
  • Strong leadership skills, autonomy, and an excellent customer service mindset;
  • Strong organizational and priority-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Knowledge of Marriott PMS and software systems is an asset;
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset;
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field is an asset;
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

Education

  • Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.

Required Experience

  • 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including at least 2 years in a similar position.

Languages

  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
