In addition to working at Hotel SENS, you will also support Château Versailles, located directly across the street. This historic property is part of Montréal’s heritage and retains its timeless charm through its fireplaces and French-style moldings. This role provides a unique opportunity to excel in a dynamic and enriching hotel environment.
Reporting to the Regional Director and the General Manager, this position offers a high level of autonomy within a professional setting that encourages growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager and department heads with financial-related matters as needed

Train and supervise accounting technicians

Act as the liaison with the Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator

Review accounts payable and expense reports and approve payments

Review negotiated contracts
-
Verify billing between the hotel and its tenants

Validate the posting of daily hotel revenues into the accounting system

Review and follow up on new customer account requests and accounts receivable collections

Prepare GST, QST, and lodging tax remittances
-
Prepare and document journal entries
-
Analyze revenue and expense accounts to explain budget variances

Perform monthly bank reconciliations (CAD and USD) and reconcile all balance sheet accounts

Develop the annual budget in collaboration with the General Manager and monitor performance

Prepare year-end financial files

Develop and implement internal procedures aligned with head office recommendations

Proficiency with Opera software

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in the hospitality industry

Bachelor’s degree (required)

Languages: Bilingualism (French–English) is required as we serve an international clientele.
