Under the authority of the Front Office Manager, a night auditor is an employee of the administrative services whose function is to verify the commercial transactions carried out
during the day in order to balance the accounts and deposits and to close the tills, while providing reception during the night. They assume the role of receptionist by welcoming
customers so that they can enjoy the best hotel experience. 

 

Job description:

  • Ensure all aspects of room reservation protocol are followed, including bookings, confirmations + cancellation policies
  • Ensure all phones are answered promptly with good etiquette
  • Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner, and follow-up with guests for 100% satisfaction
  • Help guests, assist, and provide information (e.g. hotel policy, directions, places to eat, etc.).
  • Communicates effectively with the Housekeeping staff to facilitate room turnover
  • Responsible for monitoring hotel lobby cleanliness and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Required to count till, follow checklist and complete an End of Shift Report to be emailed to all management.
  • Classify commercial transactions carried out during the day; Produce the daily income report,
  • Verify and correct transaction records and update hotel guest notes,
  • Balance the accounts and close the cash registers of the various points of sale,
  • Perform departures and arrivals,
  • Handle customer complaints,
  • Other administrative and/or accounting tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Front Desk Agent or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft excel, Microsoft word & Outlook
  • Experience with Hotello (preferred).
  • An eye for detail
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in English Written & Verbal communication skills are mandatory: Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Availability to work (11pm-7am)
