It is with profound sadness that we honour the life of Sébastien Gagné, General Manager of the Montreal Marriott Château Champlain, whose passing leaves an immeasurable void within the Tidan family and throughout Quebec’s hospitality community.
A true icon of Montreal hospitality, Sébastien, pictured above on the right alongside Mr. Sofer at a recent fundraiser held in support of his treatment, devoted more than 30 years of his career to an industry he helped shape through inspiring leadership, unwavering integrity, kindness, and generosity. He was the kind of leader who lifted others up, brought people together, believed in their potential, and made everyone around him feel valued.
To so many of us, Sébastien was far more than a colleague. He was a mentor, a trusted leader, a friend, and a source of inspiration. His legacy extends well beyond the hotels he led. It lives on in the countless people he mentored, encouraged, and positively influenced throughout his remarkable career.
The entire Tidan community mourns this tremendous loss. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit, his values, and the example he set will continue to live on through the people he inspired, guided, and cared for. That is how his legacy will endure.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with his partner, Glen, his family, his friends, his colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thank you for everything, Sébastien. Your legacy will continue to inspire our industry for generations to come.
Forever a part of the Tidan family. You will never be forgotten.
