We are all experiencing it: the COVID-19 pandemic is shaking up all of our daily lives for our communities, families and businesses. While circumstances are changing quickly, we can navigate these difficulties by working together.

For our commercial and residential tenants, our offices will be closed. We ask that you call or email, rather than visiting, your respective property management offices, should you require any assistance during this period. We are leveraging the strength of our leadership group to adapt to the changing circumstances.

All spheres of our society are affected and the tourism industry has been greatly impacted. Under the circumstances, we see a considerable decrease in the occupancy rate in our hotels.

In this respect, we must make difficult decisions daily based on your health, that of our employees and for the sustainability of our business. Consequently, Chateau Versailles Montreal, Le Mount Stephen, Mont-Gabriel, Travelodge Quebec, Thriftlodge Kingston and Ocean Sky Resort will temporarily suspend their activities. The Montreal hotels listed above were selected as we have more than one property in the city and we strongly wish to maintain our activities within Montreal. All guests that have a reservation in one of these Montreal properties starting on March 23rd, 2020 will be relocated to a sister hotel nearby, until further notice.



Tidan has activated a corporate crisis committee and has strong processes and support teams in place. All our hotels have been informed in detail on essential preparatory and preventative action plans – ranging from hygiene measures including increased cleaning and sanitizing frequency to guidelines on how to handle suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) or lockdowns for quarantine purposes in cooperation with the local health authorities.

We are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines of the governments and the local health authorities, to continue working towards providing the best service possible while safeguarding the safety of our guests and associates, within the requirements issued by such local authorities.

In the interests of public health and excellence in our service, we are taking action. For example, since the prevention of the spread mainly involves the adoption of adequate sanitary measures, our usual standards as to the sanitation and hygiene of our establishments are diligently observed, and even raised. Our employees have received training on the measures to adopt including:

-Adequate hand washing
– Wearing gloves when required
– Avoiding unnecessary contact
– Increased frequency of cleaning routines, mainly in high traffic areas
– Increased hygiene measures for our restaurants and catering offers



We know that your plans may change. In this context, our flexible cancellation policy is particularly reassuring. This allows you to cancel a stay 24 hours prior to your arrival. In addition, and exceptionally, the cancellation conditions of prepaid stays were modified. You can then make reservations with peace of mind.
